Your First Visit:
To prepare for your
visit, wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing. It's best if,
your stomach is neither empty nor very full.
At each visit, Carol
will do a thorough evaluation of your health. Carol will listen
carefully to what you have to say, ask questions about your
health, and examine your pulses and tongue. She will treat you
with acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, nutrition, or a
combination of these methods and other techniques such as
massage or cupping. Carol will first balance your root energy
then work on the problem area.
The Acupuncture
needles feel like a small pinch as the needles are inserted,
followed by a feeling of pressure, warmth, tingling, or numbness
around the point. This sensation is called "Chi" sensation,
and it means your body is responding to the treatment.
Once the needles are
in, you rest quietly for 20 minutes to an hour. Sometimes you
will turn over and have needles on the back also. People often
fall asleep during treatment. After treatment, you will normally
feel relief from your symptoms, and a sense of relaxation, or
renewed energy. Chinese medicine works the way your body works
to restore health and prevent illness. It relieves symptoms, but
can also address their source. To protect your health and
safety, Carol uses only sterile disposable needles.
After the treatment,
she and you will talk briefly , answer any questions you may
have, and discuss your herb prescription if needed. Carol uses
mostly concentrated patented herbal tablets for her patients.
Then you may schedule another appointment if you wish. Usually
it’s best to come once a week until the problem is resolved.
Carol works very hard to have your condition resolved very
quickly. That’s what she is known for. Problems that have been
problematic for a long time are many times resolved with just a
few sessions.
Appointments are
available by appointment. She sometimes even works Sundays.
Carol also offers an evening schedule, for your convenience. Her
home office is located at 128 County Route #21 Mitchell Hollow
Road Windham, NY. Call today to schedule an appointment or ask
an questions. |
